# Manage Subscription and Account Closure

> Understand subscription states, billing timing, cancellation, suspension, and the current account-closure process.

## What you'll accomplish

You will understand when a subscription is served, when plan changes take effect, and what to do when an organization wants to close its Layarva account.

## Subscription lifecycle

| Status | Service continues? | Meaning |
| -------- | ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| Pending | No | The first payment is not complete. |
| Active | Yes | Normal paid service. |
| Past due | Yes | Renewal failed and the seven-day grace period is running. |
| Canceled | Yes | Renewal is canceled, but the paid period has not ended. |
| Ended | No | The paid period ended without renewal. |

Plan and billing-interval changes are queued for the next paid-period boundary. They are not applied immediately after a customer has already paid for the current period.

## Billing behavior

* Amounts are stored in minor currency units: whole rupiah for IDR and cents for USD.
* Prices are defined independently in IDR and USD; they are not live currency conversions.
* A missing price blocks purchase rather than becoming zero.
* Monthly renewal preserves the calendar day where possible and clamps to the last day of shorter months.
* Annual billing represents twelve months. Additional Screen quantities are charged as Screen-months.
* Self-serve plans use configured automatic providers; Enterprise manual transfer is handled separately.

## Cancellation and suspension differ

Canceling renewal does not delete content or immediately stop service. The workspace remains served until the end of the paid period.

Suspension is a separate operational decision with a reason and audit record. An unpaid suspension can be lifted automatically after payment; a manual staff suspension remains until staff explicitly removes it.

## Close an account

Layarva currently has no customer-facing **Delete account** workflow. The honest process is:

1. An Owner cancels subscription renewal in **Settings → Billing**.
2. The workspace remains available until the paid period ends.
3. Contact Layarva support to request account and data closure.

The `workspace.delete` permission exists for Owners but is not currently connected to a customer-facing action. Archiving a Screen or Queue Unit is not the same as deleting the workspace.
